Europe is the second smallest continent on the planet, yet manages to host one of its most intricate combinations of cultures...
Europe extends from the island nation of Iceland in the North West to the Ural Mountains of Russia in the East. The Northernmost point is the Svalbard Archipelago of Norway, and it reaches as far south as the islands of Greece and Malta.
The Continent is bordered by the Arctic Ocean to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, and the Mediterranean, Black and Caspian Seas to the south.
Europe can be divided into four major physical regions:
• Western Uplands • North European Plain • Central Uplands • Alpine Mountains
The climate of Europe varies from subtropical to polar.
The Mediterranean climate of the south is dry and warm. The western and northwestern parts have a mild, generally humid climate, influenced by the North Atlantic Drift.
European Culture is fantastically diverse with so many countries in such a small radius. Naturally it is a melting pot of ideas, culture, events, art, history and so much more.
