The day we arrived the air was clear and the ground was very cold.

The frost gripped to the plants as if it was never going to leave.

As soon as I got out of the van, I realized this is a game where you can not stop moving. Within a few seconds my feet were getting cold.

At the beginning preparation had to be done, proper clothes, boots and tools , then a hike through the long brash, more often than not this can be a long walk to the right place to plant the trees.

Is about 10am on the morning, I stood for a moment mesmerized and gazed at an endless horizon of beautiful Scottish landscapes. This reminds me at this time tomorrow I will be in Poland seeing my family and friends. But I appreciate today, the unique moments up the hills… Freedom is all around me… feelings of freedom starting to grow inside me …

At this moment in time people around the world are sitting in their offices, for tree planters stunning scenery is the office every day.

How good tastes a cup of hot tea during a break in this job, everything here in the middle of nowhere is more appreciated. How this kind of job has changed the way of thinking about life …?

“… you can reach a point of peace, where you forget everything around you the weather, the time nothing matters …” – James.

In December 2015 I experienced tree planting for the first time, it is hard work.

I think everybody should have a chance to plant a tree and give something back to nature. I know we can all do it and make the world a better place to live for the future.

Here you can find information on how you can support tree planting projects.

Special thank you for James from Gone West for showing me thismagic piece of tree planting life.
